What's faster a non-turbo 5 speed or a turbo automatic? 850

850 non turbo has 170 hp
850 GLT LPT turbo 193 hp
850 TURBO/T5 HPT about 230 hp
850 T5R HPT 240 hp

I have a 97 850 GLT Turbo low press with automatic, and it is quite quick
I used to drive a 244Turbo intercolled automatic, and there is absolutly no comparison in performance, the 850 is so much faster than my 244T ever was.

But i do miss the RWD.

I would say that a automatic 850 turbo LPT would be beat the NA 850 w/ manual hands down. I have personnaly blown away a 850 NA with my stock 850 LPT on the highway, all he saw was my rear spoiler. And i know for a fact that a HPT will blow myt doors off in stock confiquration. This is why I have installed a dawes device Manual Boost Controller set at 10 psi (6 psi stock)with hi flow air filter, and a magnaflow cat-back exhaust system. I think i have about 220-230 HP now with considerable tourqe steer and wheel spin.
