How do I get to the lamps that light up the temperature knobs and blower fan problems 850 1997

Blower resistor - is that what they want to replace it for you, or sell it to you for? I bought one from dealer for about $45 last fall. You can try to lube the fan motor, but it's difficult and won't buy you much. It's on it's way out, and that is what is causing the resistor to blow.
