this isn't answering your question, but can you tell me more about the obd-2.com stuff? did you get the software from them as well or just the cable? If you got the package, how is it otherwise? Are the continuous readings useful at all? Any information about it would be extremely helpful. I've been thinking about it for a year but haven't convinced myself its worth it.

any slim chance it clears the service light? I have not found any sources on this at all. Thanks!
