Let me see. 1998 V70 currently has 178KMs
Replace many headlight bulbs, finally fixed by Volvo on recall
Replace both tie rod ends
Replaced both front wheel bearings (one under warranty)
Replaced interior fan motor
Replaced A/C compressor
Replaced rear main seal (twice now) 8 hours labor or $26 part
Replaced radio (warranty)
Replaced many front turn signal lights, finally fixed by Volvo recall
Repaired lift gate interior trim kept falling down(strange VOLVO has a repair it just for this problem)
Just replaced all four rotors (great got 178k out of the orginals)
Replaced all the required items during the normal scheduled maintance, like timing belt etc.
This car is the most expensive car to maintain that I have owned, between regular maintance and the above items. I spent no were near as much on my other cars. (87 Audi(Sold), 03 Mercedes Benz(still have), 92 Eagle Talon(sold),71 Corvette (still have), 82 Honda Civic(sold)
Don't get me wrong I love this car, it's fast, handles great (IPD sway bars), brakes are even better now that it has cross drilled rotors and EBC Greenstuff pads. It's a wagon so it doesn't attract attention. Have never been stuck in the snow even though it is not AWL.
