timing on an 850 850 1996

This is a non-turbo,4 valve, w/air pump engine. It jumped time. I've been told by Volvo that it requires special volvo tools to put it back in time. Another person told me that it is not actually necessary, but doesn't know exactly how to do it. How do I put it back in time?
