Will not Shift out of 1st. 850

Hey SteveF - do you have a good Volvo mechanic in the Hoboken area? My favorite mechanic and I've been lost ever since...

I had this same problem with my cvar about a year ago - it was the switch - now it's doing it again - very weird - I've found that if you manually shift it the first time, it will shift normally from there on in.
