radio problems 850 1993

I have an '86 944 and I had a snap-crackle-pop from the front speakers, so I replaced them. then still had the snap-crackle-pop. After 6 years I was getting annoyed enough that I was going to remove the radio and get it fixed by the Blaupunkt place. I recently had the dashboard apart, and I took the Blaupunkt out and as a while-I-was-at-it Pascal's gamble, I took the faceplate off and sprayed the $8 overpriced Radio Shack tuner cleaner into the tuner.

It's been fine, since.

PS I'm a poor dad who's PAYING (full boat) for my kid's college, which is much worse than being a student....
