Fuel Gauge Inaccurate S40-V40 2000

The fuel gauge does not register Full after a fill up and I know the tank is full.Does any one know if this is a programable gauge via the dealer or not.I thought there was some discussion about this problem a few monhs ago but can't find it .Tx
