noise after cold start S70 1998

My T5A (48K) sometimes has a noise from under the hood that does not change with speed and goes away after driving about a city block. It sounds like a fan roar but all is tight. I have an extended warranty but of course it will not act up at the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem?
