Rough idle & check engine light 850 1997

Hi
I drove for an hour, and toward the end of the trip, all of sudden, I got a rough running engine & the check engine light came on & blinked. Any ideas?
Also, I could really use a mechanic in Manhattan that knows 850's. Anyone know of such?
