I installed an Apexi turbo timer on my '99 C70 HPT w/ 5 speed. I chose the apexi because of its tiny remoted display (I installed mine in the sunvisor to the left of the mirror on the driver's side) and b/c it's the only turbo timer currently available that uses O2 sensor input to determine cool down time if desired (added benifits being a built in A/F meter and Voltmeter). Same as Frank, I give the car a bit of gas right as I turn off the key so it doesn't backfire, then I hop out and lock the doors manually. I have still been unable to dick around with the factory alarm/immobilizer/keyless entry/whatever to ANY extent, unlike aftermarket alarms which will allow you to change things like beep or silent, passive arming or not, passive locking or not, etc etc. I don't even know how to set off the alarm... opening the door from the inside of the car after pressing the lock button doesn't seem to do it, yet I can get the alarm to go off by pressing the "panic button" on the remote. Anyone have any more insight on this?
