Hi guys, tell me your thoughts. I have a severe vibration that eminates throughout the frame and vibrates so harshly that my mirrors shake violently. It only comes on at the point just before stop. Never during high speed or hard braking. just at that point of very slow stopping or just as the car is coming to a stop. First of all. i just replaced all four rotors, pads(OEM), stainless lines, and painted the hats and calipers. After getting the T5-R off the jack stands,. Which was a bear due to the TME lowering springs, i noticed that the driver side top strut mount was broken. I believe that this occured during trying to get that side off of the jack stand. the drivers front was stuck on the stand after removing all others and i had to resort to innovative jacking techniques to get it off that stand. I do not feel that the vibration is due to the warping of the rotors as i was very meticulous throughout the entire process including torqueing the lugs in a star pattern to 81.18ft.lbs. of torque. Ok 81. but you know. My question is this: Do you think that the upper strut mount could be responsible for this type of vibration? I am contemplating replacing the Upper strut mounts on both sides, as well as the rear upper shock mounts, and i am going to get those control arm bushings for both sides(4 total). The car has 101,000 miles and original suspension except for the springs. Later i'll do the Bilsteins. Do you think the strut mount and/or the control arm bushings could be the culprit???? Please, any thoughts or advice is appreciated.... I can't stop discounting that strut mount especially since the vibration seems to start on that side and that's the side i had the trouble with the jack stand with. Anyone have similiar vibration????
