So is this a 'possible' defect in the part that checks the system or the system itself? Right now my light is off. It's off 99.9% of the time. However, is it possible that at some point I may need the ABS and then it will fail to work? Or does the light just go on because of a bad circuit in the system that checks to make sure the ABS brakes are working. The closest volvo dealer is an hour away. I'll take the tires off and inspect. Anything I should look for? Can an advanced DIYr replace the module? Are the new modules any different or should I expect that to fail to within the next 70k?
