Is there something you are not telling us?

You said that "the way the [a/c] is hooked up, the car couldn't run without it (as well as the electrical problems that occurred)."

What do you mean by this?

Was the car in a fire. Has the car been in a mojor wreck?

The a/c electrical system should have little to do with whether, or not, the car will run.

It sounds like there is some additional information missing.
