I had the same problem, and as yourself had the whole unit replaced under warranty. Not sure what the problem is, I had thought it was the actual cartridge, not allowing the disc to be inserted, but the dealer didn't want to trouble shoot and just ordered a new one. If you have another empty cartridge, maybe give it a try!

That brings up the question, is the deck they replaced under any type of warranty, or does it run out when your original warranty is up?
