Hmmm,

Thats a shock. Several of my friends own BMW's and have yet to be in the shop for anything other than regular service. BMW's seem to be the Honda of the european cars. I have 2 friends with 1999 3 series and one with an M5 and one with a 525i. Interesting enough the M3 and M5 are a low production cars. Perhaps its a more wide spread problem or the BMW dealer across the street happens to only sell M3's and M5's? My M5 friend had to wait 10 months to take delivery of his car.

Not discounting anything you have said Yannis I have to say that I have stepped my last foot into a Volvo Dealer ever. Its bad enough to screw me on a car with bad resale value that can't be repaired very well and does not want to stay running but to lie to me and insult my intelligence and treat me in general like I bought a $200 dishwasher is inexcuseable.

Perhaps with Ford's purchase of Volvo things are changing. Or perhaps the change has been made and this is just the way it is now. Who knows and frankly I don't care.

In any event I am glad you feel strongly about the products that you sell. Hopefully dealers like yourself can give Volvo the feedback they need to correct their mistakes. There are a LOT of former and present Volvo owners like myself out there with a LOT of hatred for the company. My friend that has a C70 convertible single handedly stopped 2 people in his office from buying C70's because of the horror stories he told them. I stopped my brother from buying an S40 and have killed a number of other sales (one while waiting in the waiting room for my car to be repaired ). I guess the moral of this story is it takes a long time for people to spread good words about a make and takes seconds for them to mention bad things about a company. It takes years to build a reputation thats positive and seconds to build one that is negative.
