ABS Contoller Fail S70

Can someone advise more about the ABS/TRACS controller repair. Is this a DIY ? What is involved. I have the same annoying ABS light that lights up for a short period (couple of hours) than goes off. Has anyone any repairs to the belt tensioner ? I hear that this is the cause of the belt whinning in the morning.
