does draining a battery kill it?

Also, a trickle charge probably won't do it because of the build up. However a charge of 25 amps or more will help clean that garbage off the plates. That should get you going. Then you can go back to the Interstate dealer and it should be under warranty. The up side is that lead acid does not have a 'memory'. But Nickle cadmium does. It remembers that it was at a very low charge, and wants to stay there. Not true with lead acid...
