Question on Security Alarm/Sidelamps Flashing S80 1999

Last year I had accidently set off my security alarm -- windows were rolled down but out of habit I had locked the door. When I went to get in, I reached in from the inside to open the door rather than unlock it. Oops! After that, I noticed that my sidelamps no longer flashed when I "armed" the system. I took it to the dealer and within minutes they had it fixed -- I think they reset something. Well, the car was bumped the other day (no damage) and now the lights aren't flashing again. Anyone have a quick fix? I don't relish the idea of the long drive to the dealership -- especially since I've had "issues" with them in the past.

BTW - Those of you who were kind enough to give me tips on changing my own oil in my post a few weeks ago. I promised an update - I got the oil filter wrench that was recommended, the filter (and other assorted parts which I ordered on line as recommended) and "had at it" the other weekend. It took me an hour (no snickering!) most of which involved finding the right size sockets to fit everything, locating the oil drain plug and trying different combinations of "blue" words to arrive at the magic phrase that allowed it loosen up an unscrew from the pan. My only real issue was the gash I got on my finger from a rough edge on the drain plug and having to stop in the middle of what I was doing to make my (very spoiled) husband his lunch.

Thanks again for your help and advice.
