The Phase-I T4's were 1855cc and the 2.0T was 1948cc. Basically the same 'trick' Volvo used on the early S/V70 with the T5 and the 2.5T engines.
For the Phase-II S/V40 the engine basically became the same unit (both 1948cc, same stroke/bore), but the T4 engine has a lower compression than the 2.0T engine.
There is also a 1.8T S/V40 out there, but AFAIK it's only sold in a few countries (usually to fall in a lower tax category when based on engine cc's). Not sure about the exact dimensions and power output of that one.
Of course is the european 2.0T and the US 1.9T exactly the same engine (with a few more emission bits on the US engine). The 'name' difference is just marketing-speak..
