More on possible purchase... why different curb weights? C70

Hi,
I have a 2000 C70 HPT w/4 speed auto. Man, it seems to be a great tranny. After breaking in the car I had the tranny reset, so it could relearn a more sporty style of driving. It up shitfs and down shifts very nicely. I am in Colorado, and really like hat I can select 1,2,3,D and is actually sticks in 1,2,3. My wifes 95 turbo wagon has L, and shifts to first on down hills when speed is under 25 which I hate, when I put in in second I want it to stay there.

I also think (no facts) the four speed has the most maturity, so should last longer. There was rumor he 93-94 was a weak tranny, and then improvements kept being made.

I do wish it had the S/E/W (sport/econ/winter) instead of just W.

So.... can anyone compared the 5 speed auto to four in terms of
1. Maturity/design
2. Speed acceleration?
3. any other comaprison?

Thanks,
Carl
