I have a new S60 AWD (500 miles) and I have noticed that in cold weather the engine seems to start a little hard (like the baatery was drained). One night after my car had been sitting outside for 5 hours in 20 degrees F temperature, my car barely started. The starter was turning the engine very slowly and finally started the engine after 5 - 10 seconds. I also have a 2001 Cross Country (same engine) and it started right up that night.
I called the service department at my dealer and they told me that this was a known problem affecting some S60's, Volvo was working on the problem and that right now there was nothing they could do. Is anyone else having this problem? Have you discussed it with your dealer?
Thanks.
