replying to my own post....creaking in the headliner has stopped!!!! S40-V40 2000

....for what its worth the sharp creaking/cracking has gone away even though the temp (below 32F) has stayed the same..BUT the sun has come out! The only explanation I can think of is that I some how had some ice form inside the front of the roof which cracked every time I went over a bump.....now its gone! WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!
