Hello again Derek,

I finally tried to open the key using the small torx screw, only to find that it only separates the physical key from the electronic works.

How do I get to the underside of the unlock button? Can I use a knife to crack open the case? I only have the one key and would not like to damage it trying to open something that is not designed to be opened.

If it will pop open and can then be popped closed I will go ahead and give it a try.
