Hello All,

I want to collectively express my thanks to all who responded. Your suggestions were very helpful. In the end, the cause for my electrical problem described above was due to a worn ignition switch. I have never replaced it and my car is 23 years old and has 330,000 miles, so I can't really complain. However I want to again thank everyone who replied.
