I have owned this particular V-70 for about six years/90,000 miles. The car has 194,000 miles on it now. It has always idled in that fashion but has always been a very dependable vehicle. It is quiet once it gets through the warm up stage. I just had the instrument cluster repaired (europeanelectric they did a great job--cost $135.00) and completed a series of maintenance issues including a/c repair. I am about to turn it back over to my daughter and would like to quiet it down a bit. I guess it is comforting to know that someone else shares the high idle issue. Thanks for your reply
