Checking your battery's condition as well as the connections is "a great place to start".
A cheaper battery losing its oomph at 2 years of age isn't unheard of.

How long ago was the starter replaced? .....by a good mechanic?
When the starter engages does it sound the same as it always had? I'm thinking of my youth when a starter could be mounted such that the small gear could "jam against" the torque converter's gear ring.
