Klaus,

I can't recommend an approach for testing the bushings but if/when you decide to replace the individual components, specifically shocks, I would highly recommend OEM (Sachs usually). In my previous recently sold P2 S60 I tried to save a bit and when Meyle for front struts....one year in and they were toast. Never went wrong with Sachs replacements however.
