2004 V70 Radiator Replacement Interval V70-XC70 2004

Related to my recent cooling system drain and fill with fresh coolant on 2000 V70:

Pulled the bottom hose on the radiator to drain the coolant. Now, with the same hose and clamp back on, there's a slow drip. The car has gone through a couple of hot/cold driving cycles since then. Tighten the clamp a little more, and the drip stops. But then the drip reappears after the next hot/cold cycle.

I'm leery of overtightening. I know the plastic tank where the hose connects is prone to cracking when overtightening the hose clamp.

Is this a situation where a small amount of sealant can be used to stop a leak?
