Thanks, James. I thought of that but would never have known about the danger of using something that was safe for plastics. I will definitely try it next time I have the car. My daughter says there's nothing wrong and she has no trouble, so what do I know about it? I was just worried that something worse could happen - worse than getting stuck in a car I couldn't get the key out of!
