Re: Replaced turbo, still having issues... 850 1994-1995

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem. Ready to pull the turbo, but a little reluctant hearing it takes 4 hours, and is messy. Any suggestions on the best way to pull it, and the best place to get a replacement?

You might check the upper and lower hoses to the intercooler. They tend to get soft on the bottom side from oil accumulation, and can get a hole, or open up under pressure. My upper one did this. I think you might be able apply some of the leak detector (liquid soap) solution to the hoses, drive, and see if it has bubbled up anywhere. This stuff washes off easily with water.

I think the long term trim points to a free (unmetered) air leak somewhere.
