Look at http://kinovolvo.cjb.net/ and click on "Useful Info" on how to take your instrument cluster out. You will need to follow the diagrams so print them out and then after your cluster is out, remove the odometer. Rick Borth at Overseas Speedometer (www.speedometer.com) can repair it for you. You can call him and talk to him about this at 1-800-444-0292. There is a small gear in your odemeter that is likely broken. The reason the speedometer keeps working is because it works off of the computer in the cluster, unlike the odometer which is mechanical. Anyway, my odometer broke and Rick fixed it for me. He is reasonable and he had it back to me in less than a week. Don't let anyone get suspicious you might sell your car to. Do the right thing and get your odometer fixed. Hope this helps. By the way, Rick (Overseas Odometer) is in Austin, Tx.
