Replacing the oil separator and PCV system 850

First, have you pulled the dipstick after the engine is good and warm and checked for smoke? If it isn't smoking or smoking lightly then you don't have a serious crankcase pressure problem.

I'm assuming that you have cleaned the existing flame trap and thrown away the screen. Doing that will also help relieve crankcase pressure.
