Center Console Won't Open S80 2001

I am in the process of purchasing a 2001 S80 from a dealer. The center console has two buttoms to push..one for the one that has an area to store cds and the other i have no idea since it won't open. The salesperson said they would take care of it but now I called service and they want to charge me $125 to diagnose the issue and then they said it could go over $300 if it needs to be replaced! I have a deposit and a signed contract on it and now don't know what to do.

It might just be something as easy as it being stuck or a spring issue but I am no mechanic and that is why I am here.

Anyone have any ideas for a novice since I am supposed to be picking the car up tomorrow afternoon.
