I do not like to replace sensors unless I know they have failed. Many scanners have the capability to show O2 readings, the rear O2 sensor is trying to say that what is coming through the CAT is not 'clean'. Unfortunately, there are soooo many reasons that the front O2 sensor readings mess up and leave a dirty CAT flow.
When I intitally 'fixed' my broken hose by the fuel filter, I used a silicon vacuum line I had left over on the bench. That worked fine all winter, but when the temps climed, the error came back. That part of the system is not under vacuum, it is under pressure as the gasoline vapors heat up and the vacuum line couldn't handle it. A piece of fuel line solved the problem.
