Happy New Year,

thank you all for the posts. The big question now is whether I need to change the ABS ECU/Hydraulic unit (very expensive), or whether the problem can be remidied by a less drastic and less expensive repair. Without being a Volvo expert, I would guess that a code 1-4-1 (brake pedal sensor) would be fixed by replacing this sensor (unless in Volvo terms the sensor is the ABS ECU/HU!!)
