Common problem! There is a real danger when changing brake pads etc on these cars.
The problem is that when pushing the pistons back into the calipers the contaminated fluid that normally resides in the calipers is pushed back up the system. This can cause damage to the ABS/TRACS unit from F.O.D.
The fix is to clamp the brake lines and loosen bleed nipples when pushing pistons in. This ejects any contaminants from the system.
How do I know this? I had to replace my ABS/TRACS hydraulic unit within 150km of a brake change when the technicians failed to take this precaution.
