Your cheapest 'fix' is to mark and remove the prop shaft. That will give you FWD and get you about 20 more usable horses. Of course, you will want to put the shaft back on for the winter months, which is why you want to mark the shaft so it goes back on correctly and in balance.
Any other mods will cost you a lot of money with not so much gain. You should have bought a T5 version that can be chipped ($900), given a free flow exhaust($900), a 4 inch air filter mod from K&N, etc. to boost the bhp to 300.
