With all due respect, Lanne, although I agree with most of your views I must disagree with a couple.

A lot of makers are thinking about the Turbochargers. Look at Audi, Volkswagen, Subaru, Saab and Volvo. And there will be more to follow. So, it is not "just Volvo and Saab".

MANY Volvo (potential) buyers are looking at BMW and Audi. They are among are biggest competitors in the 325, 328 series and the A4/A6 models.

The price differential gives Volvo an advantage (sometimes) vs. the BMW but the Audis are just about the same (perhaps slightly higher).
