I think your new car prep may be a little dated. It is generally a bad idea to wash a modern engine. I would not use a hose on the engine, possibly a sray bottle with windex. When you wash the engine , it will get water into the many electrical connections and may cause future problems. I don't like the touchless car wash because they use questionable recycled water and they don't work very well. Also the high pressure will put water where it might never normally be and may loosen trim , paint, and undercoating materials. You don't mention keeping the car out of the sun, this will save the car the most. The UV rays break down the covalent bonds in the plastic and also the wax.
