Your Volvo owners manual says change the plugs at 30K intervals. Waiting till 100K does not mean it is up with technology, 100K spark plugs are only on certian manufacture models and it just means they designed it to last till 100K until you have to spend money on plugs, that was not considered when designing the Volvo. There are not many auto manufactures out there that keep up with Volvo technology. (despite the bugs)
