ABS Module screw S70

Thanks for the pic Brian M. I did the same thing with mine last fall.

I see yours is cut near the 'top' of the unit, and I cut mine nearer to the 'bottom'. I would recommend cutting it at the 'top' though, like yours. If you cut it too near the 'bottom' there's nothing to hold on to when you try to unscrew the part of the bolt that's stuck in the valving body.

Try to only go as deep as necessary to avoid going into the circuitry inside, unless you're planning on replacing the whole thing (ie: not rebuilding it).

As it happens, the bolts run through the own 'external' channel/tube which almost looks as if it's attached to the outside of the main box. This is prob the best place to cut, right at the 'top' of the 'tube' just below the ridge. Just a little below where it's cut in the picture. You stand less of a chance of cutting into anything important I think....

FWIW, this part doesn't need to be held on to the valving body that tightly. I could only get three screws back in mine (see explanation above re: where I cut the bolt) but I was able to wrap some zip ties all the way around the valving body and the ABS unit and hold them together this way. I remember feeling like the zip ties probably would have worked as the only fastener - though I would still get as many bolts in as you can.
