I mentioned this in my previous post, but it was buried under all the other electrical problems that I've now teased out.
The remaining interior problem is that the blower fan does not work.
The PO said that his mechanic had to tighten some connections behind the glovebox to get it to run, but that it had stopped working again by the time I purchased it.
I found the YouTube video of how to access and remove the fan, but it was not too helpful in diagnosing what needs to fixed. I've removed the box insert and looked around for loose connections. I did find a servo arm that had come loose. That seems to control in air source (cabin or atmospheric) and appears unrelated to the fan function .
A BrickBoard search did not yield much that was useful.
Any advice on how to test and restore my blower fan. Obviously my defroster doesn't work without it.
