Customer service says that light bulbs, drive belts, and tires all fall into the category of "normal wear and tear" items. The original manufacturer's warantee applies, not Volvo's new vehicle warrantee. I have this in writing in a letter from VCNA (written in 1999). It goes on to state that "individual dealers, at thier sole discretion, may offer to extend courtesies that exceed the responsibilities of the Manufacturer".
