We only get 2 seasons up here, winter and road destruction. Our pot holes just grow every year, but the shocks usually last 130-150K. It is the spring seats and the end links that take the most punishment.
If you spring seats are 9 years old, it is time to replace them. End links should be from IPD and not OEM, a little more $ but they last longer.
Because a spring seat replacement takes just as much time as replacing the entire strut, consider Bilstein Touring. Dont forget the rear shock mounts.
Oh, the bolts that I got from FCP Groton went into the spare parts bin. The heads were a size too small, and these are the bolts that get turned 90 degrees AFTER torquing to 55lbs.
