S60 - Time for shocks and possibly springs? S60

My 01 S60 2.4T is at 110,000 miles and seems to be getting a rougher ride. I live in Ohio where Jeff Foxworthy states there are 4 seasons - fall, winter spring and road construction - how true and always much needed! It seems the rough roads are becoming more jarring and impacts come through the car more (or maybe I'm just getting older).

I'm considering a suspension kit from FCP Groton w/ OEM Struts, Mounts, Seats, and Sway Bar Links or possibly upgrading the shocks (Koni or Bilstein) and also going with IPD's Eibach springs as they indicate a softer cruising ride w/ stiffer cornering.

Is this too early to replace the shocks? Anyone have feedback on upgrading v stock?

Thanks for your posts!
