Compatible Power Steering Fluid S80 2005

I'm probably repeating information already posted, but FWIW, it's a specific oil and can't be mixed with other Pentosin number(s). I don't know how many different fluids they make anyway, but it's a specific fluid. I've been down this road before with Audis. Audi, by the way, appears thoroughly incapable of building a power steering system that doesn't leak, so owners are very familiar with this kind of fluid.

Having said that, there seem to be some people with older Saabs, Audis, and BMWs, who have experimented with synthetic ATF in place of the Pentosin (probably after a flush). The Pentosin is apparently excellent for low temperature applications, which makes sense as these are Scandinavian cars, after all. Barring temperature extremes, the synthetic ATF might work fine. Saab says that ATF is OK in an emergency, apparently.

Would I experiment with my car? Probably not. I never messed around with the Audi either. I just bought a liter every year or two, and the leak eventually stopped as the car aged.
