Good call of teh FPR. I took a deep draw on teh vacuum line (It was new when I did the oil trap a few months ago) and got lots of gas fumes.
I'll order a new one.
I'll follow the Auto Rx directions though for heavy oil burning. That call for 2500 miles before switching to dino oil...apparently synthetic does not finish the 'rinsing' cycle of 300 miles as well as dino oil, and I'll consider synthetic after that. Even though I did not think I had much sludge, just for safety I changed the filter at 100 miles (like the suggest for sludged engines) and topped up. According to them I may need to do a second cylce of cleaning, if it really is stuck rings like I really hope, but doubt. Still, my oil consumption has really been reduced, so we shall see!
I may get this old gal back up to 100% soon!
