Wow! Haven't seen a post from you in a LOOOOoooong time!
My hands are pretty much average in size so I CAN get one in there, and since it is the LEFT rear I can do it
with my right hand, which is dominant. Nonetheless it isn't really very easy and I'm never sure if I have it in right.
It would be nice to have a smaller head sticking out the side like the critter in "Men in Black" to look in
there and see if it is right (although turning it on also checks that out, I guess.)
The metal around the opening has not been rounded, but neither has it been sharpened, so no serious wounds.
I wonder (ape-like, maybe) if a short piece of broomstick with a slot in the end would make an installation tool.....
