Brake pads Question:OEM?

Hi,
If Klaus is responding, it`s Rancher Rick but using my wife`s college computer hence, new user account. Hope you had a great Christmas!
Question: wife`s XC70 needs new front pads & I`ve checked IPD for pads. They list PBR, do you recommend this brand or should we go with Volvo pads? Also should calipers be replaced at the same time?
Update on whl bearings: when bearings were replaced my mechanic said that the old whl bearings had a highly unusual degree of rust on them. ???? After a road test the car still has noise/vibration coming from somewhere. To me, it sounds as if it`s coming from the mid to rear. Might that be the coupling of the rear propeller shaft that you suggested? WE have to find the source soon, this is getting expensive. The mechanic has said that he thinks it may be rear whl bearings as well. Based on the above, it may well be but I can`t afford to have someone guessing on my "dime".
Sorry about the cold weather but it`s warming up!
Cheers!
Rich
